Chief Executive Officer

Seny has 19 years of experience in the Telecom industry in Africa. Having been Chief Technical and Information Officer (CTIO) for 10 years in 5 African countries, Seny was responsible for designing, planning, building and operating a high quality cellular network with an annual budget of $100+ million. Seny has launched the first mobile money platform for MTN Congo in 2009. As a business driven technology person, Seny is bringing his vast knowledge of the African market, his multi-cultural skills and his deep technology knowledge to the venture. He will be playing the CEO role for MTopo.


Director of Technology

Fankany is Director of Technology at MTopo. He oversees and ensures the implementation of the company’s technical strategy and is responsible for creating a team of engineers and technicians to maintain MTopo at the forefront of the industry. Fankany holds a degree in Computer Science from Martha Abreu Central University in Las Villas and has held several engineering positions in Telecel, MTN, and Evolve Technologies before joining the MTopo project.


Chief Commercial Officer

Gande started his career, 25 years ago, in Sales/Distribution within the French modern Trade. He then joined Colgate-Palmolive in 1996 and held several marketing assignments, mainly across Africa and France. In 2005, he decided to take an active role in the booming African Telecom industry, as Sales & Marketing Director at Celtel Gabon and CMO with MTN Congo, where he first worked with Seny; amongst others, on the launch of Mobile Money, back in 2009. During his time with Etisalat, as Group CCO overseeing its 7 Francophone African operations, he was part of a senior management team that effected an impressive turnaround, acting as a real change agent to his Commercial teams. Gande holds an MSc in Management from KEDGE Business School (ESC Bordeaux) and gained his EMBA from HEC Paris. He comes on board as CCO, with a rich global experience in Brand Building & Customer Insights, Channel Mgt and Business Development.


Customer Service Operations Manager

Amit has 13 years of experience in the Telecom industry in Africa & Asia. Having been as System Administrator, Network Emergency handling & NOC Manager for 8 years in 5 African countries, had been worked with Seny since 2008, directly or indirectly. Amit was responsible for maintaining high quality Operations and Maintenance, training few engineers for high quality cellular network. Amit had worked with some of the best key contributors in telecom in Africa MTN, Airtel and Ericsson. Amit has a good understanding of Work culture of Africa Market, multi-cultural skills, and Technical knowledge. He will be role of Customer Service Operations Manager in making MTopo a success story.
